Murau
“Stadtwerke Murau” has been using aqotec’s district heating transfer stations since 2011. Since 2013, the Murau brewery has been brewing CO2 free and using low-temperature technology. The heat for this comes from the biomass heating plant of the municipal utility company. Aqotec was significantly involved in the planning for the conversion to the low-temperature system.
In 2018, the heating plant was expanded to include 3 Burkhardt wood gasifiers and a 1,200kW Power2Heat system. Aqotec has planned the entire hydraulic integration into the existing system. The challenge here was the different temperature levels of the heat generators and the consumers on the network. In this context, the entire higher-level regulation was converted to aqotec.
The 3 different heating networks have very different requirements. The brewery network requires a significantly higher flow temperature for the brewing process and, due to the system, also supplies a high return temperature. The city network is a typical district heating network with the usual pressures and temperatures. To supply the Stolzalpe properties, a hydraulic separation in the heating plant is necessary due to the large height difference. These networks were integrated into the system in different ways depending on their temperature levels.
A perfect interplay of the biomass boiler system (6,000 kW at 120 ° C), the 3 wood gasifiers (each with 260 kW at 100 ° C), the P2H system, low and high temperature buffer storage and the 3 different heating networks is now guaranteed.
